Scenario:

Tower owner was faced with challenge of building a RF Transparent church steeple to meet jurisdiction requirements. FEC was engaged to coordinate the design.

Challenges:

• Provide jurisdiction and property owner with multiple conceptual design options.
• Integrate with existing structure to minimize visual impact.
• Work closely with client provided RF transparent designed and manufacturer.
• Structural engineering challenge in order to combine materials and provide height and space requirements.

Results:

Drawings and calculations were approved and permitted by local jurisdiction within schedule. Client successfully built project to property owner satisfaction.
