Structural Engineering

Fullerton is proud of its team of experienced and licensed structural engineers. Our structural engineering professionals understand the importance of rapid and accurate responses to our clients’ structural needs and expectations. Utilizing current technology and the latest software, our in-house, licensed engineers work with a dedicated staff, throughout the design process, to ensure quality work output. At Fullerton, our structural engineers perform design and analysis services for many types of antenna and equipment installations.

Structural Engineering Examples:

  • Existing structures such as rooftops, water towers, chimneys and wood poles
  • Monopoles, self-support and guyed towers, flagpole and concealment poles including augmentation and reinforcement if required
  • Foundations
  • Equipment platforms
  • Antenna supports
  • Retaining and masonry walls
  • Custom equipment rooms and shelters
  • Concealments of all types
  • Structural opinion letters
  • Rooftop structure mappings
  • Shop drawing review

Fullerton’s strategic approach to delivering value and quality work has always relied on our core competencies. This enables us to focus on what we do best while outsourcing the following fieldwork to carefully chosen vendor partners who share our core values and dedication to quality:

  • Mappings of monopole, self-support, guyed and water towers and antenna mounts
  • Inventory of antennae and appurtenances
  • In-situ foundation investigations
  • Chimney inspections
  • Third-party special inspections as required by IBC Chapter 17
  • Geotechnical reports
  • Tower extensions
  • Transmission Tower mappings and analysis
  • Concealment product manufacturing design and analysis

The newest technology in wireless networks has created an enormous challenge to structural engineers.  Additional equipment at the antenna locations is making structural decisions more difficult.  Structures are frequently reaching the maximum code allowable capacity, creating the need for an accurate assessment of the loading conditions and analysis process.  Furthermore, municipal plan examiners continue to require detailed analysis of existing structures prior to issuance of a building permit. Fullerton’s structural engineers have the experience to meet these difficult challenges

Providing superior solutions for over 18 years and licensed in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, Fullerton has successfully participated in the engineering and design of over 30,000 telecommunication sites and hundreds of route miles.
